Meet your Instructor: Theresa of Afrofeteness.
At the beginning of my journey, I struggled with self-worth and found value through what others thought of me. I was teased and bullied for being “a nerd, ugly, dancing weirdly etc", and I wanted acceptance. However, the more I danced, the more confident and comfortable I became with being myself.
Sure, the doubters ignited a spark on my journey, yet at the same time triggered me to heal the need for validation. I realized I was giving away my power when The Most High already determined my worth.
I was able to shift my journey from proving my worth to embracing my worth. I've recognized that my dance journey has actually been a journey of healing.
If you are struggling with self-confidence, low self esteem, etc. I want you to know that you were created for a special purpose that only you can accomplish. Don’t forget how special you are, because there is no one else like you in this world for a reason ✨
Keep dancing. Keep healing. Keep on keeping on ❤️
